With this tour you can explore the second most visited area of Hungary with a different experience every time including the biggest Basilica in Hungary, the old fortress just above the nicest scenery and a mediterrean style village known for it’s houses and artcraft. DESCRIPTION:
 

In the morning we go directly to Esztergom, where we will visit the biggest Basilica of Hungary by the Danube. Afterwards, we will board a boat and depart for Visegrád, where we will have a delicious and typical renaissance-style lunch, Then we take a bus up to the Citadel, a 12th century fortress for a guided walk and some freetime for photoshots. We continue to Szentendre, where we will spend our time in the oldtown among churches, colorful buildings and art. Just before a guided tour for about 1 hour, we enter a jewellery shop where the owner tells us about Hungarian handcrafted jewelleries, which we can then buy locally. During the guided walk, our guide will also show you further treasure troves where you can buy more handicraft products, typically of art. After free time we will depart back to Budapest.

  • The programme start at 8:30, your guide will wait for you from 8:00.

  • To arrive to Esztergom it takes about 1 hour, where we will visit the Basilica.

  • Boatrip to Visegrád takes apprx 1-1,5 hours where lunch will wait for us

  • After lunch we will visit the Citadel with it’s amazing view of the Danube Bend

  • We expected to arrive to Szentendre around 14:30-15:00 where firstly a short jewellery show will be held

  • After a short guided tour you can enjoy your freetime just before heading back to Budapest

  • Arriving back to your hotel takes about 45 minutes, we expected to be back around 18:30.
